Larry William "Buck" Gross , 83 passed away June 26, 2023.

Funeral Services for Buck will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Thursday, June 29, 2023, at 3 p.m. with John Strazanc officiating. A Luncheon will immediately follow in the Reflections Reception Center. Interment will take place in Green Cemetery following the luncheon. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 28, from 4 until 8 p.m. Visitation will continue the day of the service from 2 p.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to the Rich and Helen Hospice Suite at Maple View Retirement Community. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.

Born to Charles and Agnes Gross on May 12, 1940, and grew up in Weidman with 11 brothers and sisters known as the dirty dozen. Survived by Donna (Barnes) his wife of 61 years, together they had many, many adventures on the roads less traveled! Sons Curt (Cherine) Gross of Mt. Pleasant, Casey (Gina) Gross of Shepherd, and Cory (Sara) Gross of Mt. Pleasant. Grandchildren Alli (Eric) Baxter, Sami (Eric) Layfield, Kella (Dylan) Marchione, Kalvin Quach and Colin Gross. Great-grandchildren Brynlee and Eli Layfield and Simon Marchione. Surviving sisters Marilyn Losey of Lake Isabella, Jo Cochran of Lake Isabella, Sandy and John Straznac of Grand Haven, sister Charl Gross of Lake Isabella and sister-in-law Jan Gross of Mt Pleasant. Many nieces and nephews.

Larry worked at Isabella County Road Commission, Morbark Industries, and helped start Bandit Industries where he retired after many years. He graduated from Weidman High School in 1958, joined the Army, played softball in Germany while he was stationed there. When he returned home, he played for the Green Spot making many friends. Buck enjoyed golfing, hunting deer and morel mushrooms and most importantly his family.
