Actor. He was best known to both television and film viewers for numerous character roles he portrayed on both "small" and "big" screens from the 1980s to the 21st Century. He started out as a railroad man on the Union Pacific Railroad before switching to acting in the late 1980s. His acting debut came in the 1989 film "Rapid Fire." He went on to appear in such films as "The Mighty Ducks" (1992), "Rudy" (1993), "The Apostle" (1997), "The General's Daughter" (1999), "The Sum of All Fears" (2002), and "The Purge: Anarchy." (2014) In 1990, he made his television debut in the series "Brewster Place." His later television credits would include such series as "Missing Persons," "Early Edition," "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," "Everwood," "Treme," and "The Soul Man." He also appeared on the theatrical stage in various productions during his career and later set up the John Beasley Theater and Workshop in his hometown of Omaha, Nebraska.
