Entertainer. Best known for his role as Mingo in the television series Daniel Boone from 1964 to 1968. His earliest performances were with three of his siblings as a member of the singing group The Ames Brothers. Along with Ed, the group was composed of older brothers Vic, Gene, and Joe Ames. When the Ames Brothers disbanded, he found success as a solo singing act. His hit songs included "My Cup Runneth Over," and "Who Will Answer?" He made guest appearances on many television programs, including "The Ed Sullivan Show" and "The Merv Griffin Show." A 1965 appearance on "The Tonight Show" elicited an audience laughter response that lasted over four minutes.
