Rebecca Nan Owen left this life peacefully on April 24, 2023. Surrounded by family.

Nan was born in Sweetwater, TX on April 14, 1946. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, 3 sisters, and 2 brothers, and her parents Albert P.K. Shipp and mother Nelle Shipp.

She is survived by her three children James Russell Owen and wife Marcy Owen of Matador, TX, Daughters Rebecca Reid of Cleburne,TX and Trudi Moss and husband Jeremey Moss of Burleson,TX. 4 Grandchildren Justin Armendarez and wife Krystal of Cleburne, Elizabeth Mixon of Cleburne, Kelcey Power of San Angelo, Tanner Peacock of Lubbock and three great grandchildren.

She was a devoted wife and mother to her family. She loved her grandchildren deeply. She enjoyed running the Barbados cook off for many years and running the Upton County Water District until her retirement.

She loved cooking large family meals and sharing time watching her family spend time together. She was remembered by many as a loving and kind lady. Her friends all loved her dearly.

Services will be held at 11am on Friday, April 28, 2023, at the Rankin Cemetery Pavilion with Bobby Davis officiating.
