Madison—Coila "Jo: Wegner age 57 died on Friday, May 3, 1991, at her home after a long battle with cancer. She was born in Oklahoma on May 31, 1933, and was raised in Texas and Kansas. She graduated from Ohio State University and had served in the Women's Army Corps. The former Jo Manson married Carter Wegner on May 31, 1970, in Denver, Colorado. She currently was employed at the Wisconsin State Crime Laboratory. Jo was a member of St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, and was active in the Tamarack Trails Condominium Association. She is survived by her husband, Carter; a daughter, Julia; and her brother, Thomas G. (Frances) Manson of Leewood, Kansas. She is also survived by her step-father, Albert Dumler of Russell, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 6, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 602 Everglade Dr. There will be visitation on Sunday, May 5, from 3:00 until 6:00 p.m. at the Cress Funeral Home, 3610 Speedway Rd. There will be a scripture service at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 5, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to hospice Care, Inc., or to the Salvation Army.
