Son of Abe Looney Tune and Annie Shull Tune, Rex married Nettie Keesee circa 1908. Rex worked as a real estate agent, and he and the family eventually moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma by 1930, where he owned his own business as a real estate broker. He is believed to have died in Tulsa.

His known children are Madeline Tune Adams, June 18, 1912-June 27, 2008 also buried in Shiloh, and Evelyn Tune, born December 21, 1915.
