Doris Jean Karn, 82, of Findlay, died Sunday, January 8, 2023 at Briar Hill Health Campus, North Baltimore. She was born on March 19, 1940 in Mt. Gilead to Boyd and Iva (Leedy) Dawson.



Doris is survived by daughter, Teresa (P.J.) Walters and her daughter, Brittani (Tyler) Brown; daughter, Lisa Shively and her children, Dustin Shively, Matt Shively and Shawna (Juan) Broadstock; daughter, Roberta Walters and her daughter, Lauren (James) Melton; Kristina, Jessica, Amanda, and Joshua Karn, all children of her late son, Rodney; and her sister, Betty Connel. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Rodney (Rocky) Karn; son-in-law, Dave Shively; great-grandson, Skylar Karn; brothers, Walter Dawson, Wayne Dawson, Raymond Dawson, Boyd Dawson, Richard Dawson; and sister, Mary Jane Cleveland.



Doris liked flowers and gardening and listening to music, especially Neil Diamond. She also appreciated a good Happy Hour at Briar Hill where the staff treated her like she was their own mother. The family is grateful for the wonderful care she received there.



Friends and family may visit from 10:00 –11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay (419-422-1500). Funeral services will be held immediately following visitation at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Knollcrest Cemetery.
