He was employed by Marhoefer Packing Co, City of Muncie Sign Shop, Street Department and police garage. He was last employed by Prairie Creek Reservior, where he was awarded a Key to the City, for saving a father and son who fell threw the ice.
He left behind three sons, Oakley (Tamra) Cook, Eldon Cook (Donna), Ernest Cook (Lori); two grandsons, Jeffrey (Lindsey) Cook, Christopher Cook; two granddaughters, Charity Cook (Kyle), Kristen Cook (Johnny); and four four great-grandchildren, Chandler, Jonathon, Elijah and Leah. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty Cook; and daughter-in-law, Kay Cook.
There will be no calling or service and burial will take place at the convenience of the family.
