David was born on May 27, 1957 in Rotan, Texas to Calvin Ronald and Ida Francis (Shipp) Daniel. He was a 1976 graduate of Sweetwater High School. He served in the United States Army National Guard.
He is survived by his sister, Jennie Daniel of Sweetwater, Texas; brother, Marlin Daniel and wife Pam of Abilene, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin Ronald (Bugger) and Ida Daniel, and brother, James Calvin Daniel.
