Major League Baseball Player. For seven-seasons (1952 to 1958), he played at the second base and shortstop positions with the Washington Senators. Born Jerry George Snyder, he attended Capitol Hill High School in Oklahoma, before joining the New York Yankees' organization in 1947. Acquired by the Washington Senators in 1952, he made his Major League debut on May 8th of that season. In 1956, he produced a career-high 40 hits with a .270 batting average. In 266 career regular season games, he compiled 145 hits with a .230 lifetime batting average. After retiring from baseball, he became a businessman.
