She was a distinguished, dedicated, and hard-working women who owned and managed the well-known Reyes Café. Ernestina was active in various activities and organizations of our community. She represented Alice as an Ambassador for the Chamber of Commerce. She was always very generous and ready to help, guide, and assist anyone in need. She was a lifetime member of St Joseph Catholic Church, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister. Lately she enjoyed the drive to the Bluntzer Fruit Stand where she would walk around and select her own choice of fruits and the drives to the valley just to go get Delia's tamales; but most of all, she enjoyed bird watching as she sat in her beautiful back yard waiting to see her favorite birds, the Cardinals.
Ernestina is proceeded in death by her husband, Sterling Maresch; her parents, Marcos Reyes and Cruz Ramirez Reyes; brothers, Juan "Johnny" Reyes, Amado Reyes and Gilberto Reyes; sisters, Esther Reyes Rangel, Julia Reyes Garcia. Lorenza Reyes Andrade, Olivia Reyes Cuellar, and Minerva Reyes Trevino.
Left behind to cherish her memory is her nephew whom she helped raise as her son, Romeo Marcus (Monica) Rangel, and their daughters whom she helped raise and loved like granddaughters, Kimberly, Anica, and Danielle; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
