Danny, of Plano, Texas, was born and raised in Odessa. He was the oldest child born to Mr. and Mrs. Doroteo Rodriguez. He went by "Dan" or "Danny". He attended Odessa schools, Alamo Elementary, Bonham Junior High and Odessa High School. He was a gifted athlete, an ALL DISTRICT 2nd baseman and Honorable mention All State on the Broncho baseball team for the years 1964 and 1965. He was a class favorite, "Most Handsome" and "Most Likely to Succeed" He was a class officer all three years at OHS. He graduated in 1965.

His ambition was to be a doctor. He started pre med studies at Odessa College and then switched to the Nursing and Respiratory Therapy. He graduated with his Associate's Degree in 1968 and earned his B.S. degree in Nursing at the Incarnate Word College in San Antonio, Texas in 1970. He began a 15 year career in Respiratory Therapy and was a pioneer in the field. He organized many Respiratory Programs at several hospitals in the Dallas area. He was a member of WHO" WHO in 1972 in the respiratory field and the National Outstanding Young Men in 1976.

He was a member of the American Association of Respiratory Care, the American Thorasaxic Society, American Lung Association, the Heart Association, American Nurse's Association, Texas Society of Respiratory Care Professionals, President of the North West Texas Chapter of Respiratory Society, Phi Theta Kappa Faternity. He was a member of the All Saint's Catholic Church in Plano.

Married twice, was the father of two sons and a daugther, Roland Christopher Rodgriguez of Odessa and Yuri Andresi Rodriguez of Plano and Rox Yvette Rodgriguez of Odessa. He also was the step father of Holly Sadler of Lubbock.

He was killed in a vehicle accident in Eastland County, Texas when he was enroute to Odessa to see his son play a high school football game.

He was survived by his wife, Holly Foxworth Rodriguez of Plano, two sons, his daughter, step-daugther, and his parents of Odessa. He was also survived by his brothers Leo Lionel and Barney Albert Rodriguez of Odessa and his sister, Dorthy Pepper of Odessa. Also surviving was his grandmother, Consuelo Fernandez and step grandfather Juan Fernandez of Odessa.
