Norman C. Stahl, 76, of Topeka passed away on March 10, 2022, after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease. Norm was born in Chillicothe, Missouri on June 19, 1945, the son of Pvt. Norman C. Stahl and his wife Mable Marie Scott. After the death of both his parents, he was raised in Kansas City, MO by his great aunt, Patricia Cooper. He attended the University of Kansas where he earned a B.S. in Business Administration and was a member of the KU Rodeo Team. During college, he married in 1969 in Manhattan, and are the proud parents of 2 children.

Norm proudly served in the Army National Guard and on active duty during the Vietnam Conflict. He spent most of his career as a human-resources professional. Norm was the personnel director for Sheltered Living from 1993 until 2001 and then worked for the Kansas Department of Transportation until his retirement in 2009.

Norm loved riding his motorcycle, fishing, hunting, boating, cutting firewood and helping his friend farm. He was a volunteer 4-H rabbit project leader and served on the Shawnee County Fair board. He was a member of the Topeka Evening Sertoma Club, Mother Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church, and the St. Aloysius Knights of Columbus, Meriden. He was active in the Topeka Genealogical Society and in recent years he was an enthusiastic participant in Rock Steady Boxing, an exercise program for Parkinson's patients. Norm will be remembered for his friendly outgoing personality, "bad dad jokes", enthusiasm for University of Kansas and Democratic politics.

Norm is survived by his wife ; his children; and his son . The couple has four grandchildren. Norm is also survived by his sister , and half-sister, and 20 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and half-brother, Lewis Eugene Graham, Stover, MO.

A parish rosary and visitation will be held on Thursday, March 17 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at Mother Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church, Topeka. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the same location on Saturday, March 19 at 10 am with a luncheon for family and friends to follow. He will be buried in the St. Aloysius Cemetery, Meriden, later that afternoon with military honors.
