Abilene, Texas -- Tommye Foreman passed away Friday, December 28, 2007 in Abilene, Texas after a long illness.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, December 30, 2007 at North Park Baptist Church, 1525 Anson Avenue. Funeral services, with Louis Johnson officiating, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 31, 2007 at North Park Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.

Tommye was born to Ed and Mattie Wells on May 21, 1932 in Guion, Texas. She moved to Hawley in 1933. After attending school in Hawley through the 6th grade, she moved to Abilene and attended Abilene High School. Tommye married Joe Foreman on May 2, 1956 in Abilene. Together they were employed by Hale Trailers for many years. In 1973 they opened and operated Abilene Trailer Sales, Inc. until 1988, and Foreman Investments from 1985 to the present day. At the time of her death, she was the manger of Pleasant Hill Mobile Home Park. Tommye has been an active member of North Park Baptist Church since 1973 and was dearly loved by her Sunday School.

Tommye is survived by: her husband, Joe Foreman, of Abilene; two sons, Dan Wallace and his wife Mandy, of Huntsville, David Foreman and his wife Sharla, of Abilene; one granddaughter, Ashley Johse and her husband Mike, of College Station; two grandsons, Tyler Foreman and his wife Samantha, of Lubbock, and Scott Wallace, of Huntsville; two great-grandchildren, Lexi and Colton Johse; two sisters-in-law, Wanda Southern, of Victoria, and Maureen Wells; one brother-in-law, Jim Lewis, of Abilene; and numerous nieces and nephews. Tommye is also survived by her beloved dog, Sugar.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Mattie Wells; two sisters, Faye Roach and Gladys (Babe) Lewis; two brothers, J. B. and Troy Wells; one nephew, Bentley Wells; and one brother-in-law, Leroy Roach.

Pallbearers will be the deacons of North Park Baptist Church.
