Annie Green, 94, of Quitman passed away Thursday, June 27, 2002, in Quitman after a short illness. The Madison County native lived in Live Oak most of her life until she moved to Quitman in May 2002, to live with her daughter. Oscar and Annie Green opened Green's Furniture Company in Live Oak in 1939, and retired in 1984. She was a member of the First Advent Christian Church. Survivors include her daughter, Judy and Jesse Mitchell of Quitman; son, Ron and Aggie Green of Live Oak, Fla.; 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; and five great great-grandchildren. Service will be conducted at 2 PM Sunday at the First Advent Christian Church in Live Oak with the Rev. Tim Carver officiating. Burial will follow in Live Oak Cemetery.
