MRS. GEO. H. OVERTURF DIES
Monday morning everybody was shocked to hear of the death of Mrs. George H. Overturf who lived on Badger Mountain. She had been in town shopping the Saturday previous to her death. Some three years ago she had an operation for gallstones and had suffered more or less ever since. Sunday afternoon she had a paralytic stroke and passed to the great beyond Monday morn.
Jessie M. Coquillette was born Sept. 14, 1877 near Dayton, Wash., and spent her girlhood in Independence, Oregon. She came with her father and brothers to Waterville in 1888 and in September of that year married George Overturf. Besides her husband she leaves four children. The Wednesday funeral was conducted by Rev. Sykes, interment in Southside [Badger Mt.] cemetery.
