Wife of James H. McMullen
Mrs. Lillie McMullen, widow of James McMullen, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Viola Ross, in Henderson township, on Wednesday morning, January 3, at 5 o'clock, following an illness of six weeks.
She was a daughter of William Park and Rachel (Long) Park, both deceased, and was born in Hares Valley, June 19, 1860; hence at the time of death she was aged 73 years, 6 months and 14 days. Her husband preceded her to the grave on December 5, 1926. She was a resident of the county all her life and was a consistent member of the Arch Springs Presbyterian church.
Surviving are three daughters: Mrs. Viola Ross, of Henderson township; Mrs. Carrie Swisher, of Dixonville, PA., and Mrs. Rachel Green, of Waterstreet. Also surviving are the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Jennie Bush, Mrs. Annie Dixon, Mrs. Rhoda Miller and Raymond Park, all of Tyrone; Mrs. Margaret Swisher, of Dixonville, PA.; Mrs. Elsie O'Neal, of Six Mile Run; Clinton Park, of Mapleton Depot, and Isaac Park, of Maddensville.
The body may be viewed at Temple's funeral home in Petersburg, until Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, when services will be held at the funeral home conducted by Rev. Charles Stong, of Petersburg, and interment will follow in the Alexandria cemetery.
