Anes was originally from Athens, Greece.
Officially her name is: Agnes of Dimitrios (fathers name) Gerolymatou (family name). She said she was a secretary for the Greek government and met her husband while working there. He brought her to the United States, and they settled in Fort Worth.
In Fort Worth, Texas Agnes started putting up signs on her fence in July 1995 to inform the public of the bad activities that she thought were going on over at Trinity Industries plant located off Granbury Road (not currently in operation), that she said started in 1993. Her signs, displaying handwritten messages with bold proclamations: "Trinity Beast 666 Cult Stop Killing God's People" and "Jesus Rules the Earth." that were clearly visible from cars passing by on Granbury Road.
Agnes was also known as the shopping cart lady. She was a well known part of the Fort Worth community for over 30 years and had many friends.
Agnes was a woman of profound faith. , she carried a cross around the Granbury Road area of Fort Worth Texas, she was affectionally known as "Agnes of God." She was quoted as saying no one will ever break my spirit or my faith in God and Jesus Christ." ... and no one ever did, she loved the Lord with all her being.
Agnes is reunited with her father, Demetrios Gerasimos ; mother, Vasiliki; and brother, Loannis Gerasimos, in Heaven.
She will be deeply and lovingly missed by her brothers, Terry Gerasimos of Stockholm, Sweden; Epaminodas; Vasilios; and Eleftherios, all of Greece; sister, Efstathia; sister is laws; brother in laws; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 20, 2021, at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, located at 2020 NW 21st Street, in Fort Worth, Texas at 9:00 AM followed by a Funeral Service at 10:00 AM.
