Mrs. Carr was born June 19, 1919, in Roosevelt County, N.M., to Lotha Dallas and Annie Luvena Hawkins. She married John Monroe Carr on June 18, 1938, in Clovis, N.M.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Virginia Fore of Pampa; two brothers, Joe Hawkins of Grandbury and Ernest Hawkins of Plainview; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Baptist St. Anthonys Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79176
