Union Civil War Soldier. He served with the 24th Indiana Infantry, Company A. He died while in the service from a gunshot wound. He arrived in Cincinnati , Ohio for medical treatment on a steamer from Memphis in 1862. He was buried at Spring Grove on May Day, May 1, 1862. His last name is spelled as: Leadman on the interment listing.
