Peggy, J. White, 89, passed away Sunday, September 6, 2020, surrounded by her loving family at her residence in Calhoun City. She was born, December 1, 1930 in Stuttgart, Arkansas to the late, Harry R. Johnson, Sr. and Virginia M. Simes Johnson. She worked at Panola Mills and also as an assistant teacher. She was active in her community serving as a volunteer for the Quitman County Hospital and Nursing Home, and also the Area Agency for the Aging and The Ladies Auxiliary. She loved crafting and sewing in her leisure time. She was a member of the Marks Presbyterian Church.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Harry Russell Johnson, Jr. and Don E. Johnson.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 70 years, J. Glen White, Calhoun City; daughters, Sheila (Gerry Fallon) Fancher, Lucedale, Pam (Tony) Parker, Calhoun City, Donna (Glenn) Stafford, Calhoun City; sons, Bobby (Anita) White, Paragould, AR, Stan (Kay) White, Hartsville, TN; sister, Wanda (Troy) Moore, Oroville, WA; 10 grandchildren, JJ “Jennifer” (Steve) Goehrig, Richton Park, IL, Russell White, Glenwood, IL, Emily (Brain) Carter, Paragould, AR, Ben (Haley) Fancher, Saraland, AL, Rob (Tracy) White, Hernando, Amber (Ira) Stafford, Calhoun City, Katie (Meghan) Parker, Hueytown, AL, Kent (Tori) Stafford, Ackerman, Luke Parker, Hueytown, AL and Creed Stafford, Calhoun City and 3 sister-in-law’s and a host of nieces and nephews.

A funeral and visitation honoring Peggy’s life will be Wednesday, September 9, 2020 with visitation beginning at 10:00 A.M. and a funeral service will be at 11:00A.M. at the Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Laurie Jones and Rev. Rob White will be officiating in the service. A graveside service will be held at Marks Cemetery Wednesday at 3:00P.M..

Pallbearers will be Ben Fancher, Luke Parker, Creed Stafford, Kent Stafford, Rob White and Russell White. Honorary pallbearers will be Ira McKinney, Tony Parker and Glenn Stafford.

A special thank you to Angie Bennett, Ira McKinney, Amber Stafford and Brianne Vance for the care and love you gave to Mom during her time of sickness.
