Obituary:

Leaving long life of usefulness and sweetness Selina Barber Gatch Dies Friday in her seventy-eigth year, holding the oldest membership in M.E. Church.

Mrs. Selina Barber Gatch, who was so well known and dearly be loved by all who knew her after an illness of four years duration, died Friday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Wm. M in Clifton. Mrs. Gatch was born in Mt. Repose and lived her entire life in this county residing for the past 50 years on the Gatch farm on the Perintown pike, east of town. Here she always made her home when her health permitted.

Her remains were brought to the old home Saturday, where the entire family gathered. The funeral service was held in the M.E. Church Sunday at 2 o'clock conducted by Rev. C.M. VanPelt preceded by private services among the immediate family at the home. She was laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery where she had always thought so beautiful.

In the passing away of Mrs. Gatch, another of those grand old characters who were so strong during and after the war and whose influence at all times was toward the higher ideas has gone forever from Milford. She held the oldest membership in the Milford M.E. Church and as a tribute of this honor and formation of a life long friendship, beautiful letters of comfort were sent by Bishop Julie M. Walden and David E. Moore of Cincinnati.
