Music was J.G.'s life and love. In addition to teaching guitar lessons, his band the Texas Drifting Cowboys performed live on radio and TV. He also performed with Benny Barnes and the Cimarron Boys, the Louisiana Hayride and Jones Country. J.G. played bass guitar in the Charlie Pruitt Country Band and the Ray Parris band.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Fore; sons, Johnny Fore Jr. and Lloyd Fore; daughters, Rononna Romig and Donalyn Legendre; brother, Arthur Fore; sister, Betty Lou Hardy; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
