Hubert was born on 07 Apr 1815 in Cordel, Rheinland, Germany the son of Amandus Pauli and Margaretha Schoenhofer, and emigrated to the United States in the 1850's with his wife and children. At the time of his passing, they lived on Fulton St. His death certificate shows he was buried at Nunnery Hill Cemetery three days after his death. In the 1890's, the cemetery was closed and all burials were relocated to St. Mary's Cemetery in Troy Hill.
