Voice Actress. Born María Teresa Torres Escobar, as a child she was hired by the MGM along with her mother, "Cuca" Escobar, to perform dubbings in New York in 1944 of classic films still remembered today. She will be recognized for her participation in the dubbing of Disney films. She was the voice of Alice in "Alice in Wonderland" (1951), Lady in "Lady and the Tramp" (1955), Duchess in "The Aristocats" (1970) and even Charlotte in "Charlotte's Web" (1973). Other important dubbing roles in her carreer include Wendy in Peter Pan (1953), Glinda, the good witch in "The Wizard of Oz" (1939), Bonnie Blue Butler in "Gone With the Wind" (1939), and several others. She also worked as an announcer on the Women's Radio of Mexico City during the fifties, where she had various programs, along with her mother. Under the pseudonym "Coralito," Teresita also ventured into the musical world, as a singer and guitarist for various romantic groups, altough she was not very recognized in said carreers. Teresita Escobar died of diabetes mellitus in 1992, her unmistakable voice will live forever in all her films.
