Jim was the son of George Brown and Dorothy (Stitt) Brown. He married Pearl McKim. To this union four children were born; James "Jimmy", Michael "Mike" Ruth "Ruthie" and Lori. Jim worked for Dairyland Electric for 46 years before retiring in 1994. Jim spent his time treasuring hunting for antiques with his wife, spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren helping them with projects and mentoring them at deer camp. Jim's parent's, four brothers, three sisters, youngest daughter Lori Ann Vacek, and granddaughter Heather Pavelich Pierce preceded him in death.
