Lori was the youngest child and daughter of Jim and Pearl (McKim) Brown. She graduated in 1980 from Greenway High and attended Itasca Community College before moving to The Twin Cities. Lori married Robert M. Vacek in 1984 and two sons were born to this union, Matthew and Jackson. Bob and Lori lived in Santa Clarita, California, Tehachapi, California, and New Mexico before settling down in Lafayette, Colorado for 17 years. Lori was an avid hiker and a talented quilter. She also had a green thumb and grew beautiful roses. She was a kind, gentle, talented, and a strong woman. Lori passed after a three year battle with breast cancer. She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents George and Dorothy Brown and maternal grandparents Roy and Clara McKim.
