Denver City - Funeral services for Gladys Thomason, 93, of Denver City, Texas will be held on Thursday, June 7, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at First Church of the Nazarene in Denver City with Pastor Harold Brown officiating and Pastor Jody Talbot assisting. Interment will be at 3:00 p.m. at Terry County Cemetery in Brownfield, Texas that same afternoon. Services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Chapel of Denver City, Texas.

Gladys Farrell was born June 7, 1913 in San Angelo, Texas.

Gladys and Wilton (deceased) have four daughters, Virginia and F.A. Corley of Eustace, Texas; Sue and Nathan Patterson of Haskell, Texas; Sharon and Carl Huber of Hobbs, New Mexico; and Camelia "Camay" and Glenn Jennings of Thousand Oaks, California. In addition to their daughters there are 15 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great-grandchildren to complete her family.

After Wilton and his business partner, Jeff Davis, designed and patented the first spreader box in the 1950s, paving construction became the family business. Wilton and Gladys formed the Thomason Construction Company, Inc., which paved many of the roads and highways throughout Texas and New Mexico. Gladys served as Vice-President, bookkeeper, and office manager for many years before the company was sold in the 1980s.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wm. Robert and Pallie Farrell; her husband, Wilton in 2002; 4 brothers, Earl, Arp, Zack, and Bob Farrell; and 2 grandsons, Michael Lee Lloyd in 1959 and Randy Gene Huber in 1995.
