Jane was born in 1864 per the 1 June 1900 Monroe County Census and her death certificate. Per the 1900 Census, Nancy was born Feb 1893, Lula (Louisa) was born Feb 1890, and Alfred was born May 1894. [Social Security index indicates Lula Howard Brannon was born in 1890.] Jane's parents are Zachariah Calvin Dalton and Mary Polly Ann (Duggan) Dalton.

Dalton – his mother called him Tot.] It indicates Jane is single. Near them are her daughter Nancy J. Ledford and Nancy’s husband George D. Ledford (married less than 1 year; married Aug 1899).
