Old Ironsburg Cemetery is located about 1 mile from the intersection of TN Highway 68 and Ironsburg Rd. From TN Highway 68, turn onto Ironsburg Rd (County Rd 828). About 0.8 miles down Ironsburg Rd you come to the intersection with Robert Smith Rd (to the right) and Duckett Ridge Rd (to the left). You will see the Ironsburg Community Cemetery to the left on Duckett Ridge Rd, County Road 626). Continue straight through the intersection for about 0.2 miles and you will see the old log road (now graveled) on the left heading uphill (you can see the road from the intersection). Turn left onto the gravel road (narrow and winding) and go about 0.1 miles. The Old Ironsburg Cemetery will be up on the left, surrounded by trees. There will be an opening in the trees on the left with entry into the cemetery (not gravel; can get stuck). The cemetery has no sign and many of the grave stones are worn and unreadable or missing. The approximate coordinates of the cemetery are 35.235064, -84.343397 (35°14'06.2"N, 84°20'36.2"W). Cell phone and internet access is limited there.
Old Ironsburg Cemetery has also been called Webb Cemetery. As known, no Webb family members are interred there, but see Ironsburg Community Cemetery. If asking someone on the community for directions to Old Ironsburg Cemetery (ID 2428320), they may point to the Ironsburg Community Cemetery (ID 2227770), which was established in 1848. If so, ask for Webb Cemetery or mention the family name of interest (some refer to it as Edwards Cemetery).
