Janesville, WI Gazette - 10 Dec 1983 - Carlos "Cy" Young, 66, of 3061 Park, Beloit, died Friday in Beloit Memorial Hospital. Born April 1, 1917, in Richmond, Ky., he married Ida Golaxon LaTour on Jan. 21, 1956, in Beloit. A resident of Beloit the past 30 years, Young owned and operated Young Rapid Print Shop, Beloit. He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Zor Shrine of Madison, Beloit Shrine Club, and was a 32nd degree Mason. Surviving are his wife; a son, Dr. Byron of Lexington, Ky.; a daughter, Patricia Ellis of Keenes, Ill.; three grandchildren; four brothers, Leon Moores, of Richmond, Ky., Harold Moores of Lexington, Ky., Ralph Moores of Orlando, Fla., and Joe Moores of Atlantic Beach, Fla. Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday in Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Beloit, with burial in Willwood Cemetery, Rockford. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 9 p.m. today at Rosman-Uehling-Kinzer Cranston Road Chapel, Beloit, where Masonic services will be held at 6:30 p.m.
