Flora and Ramon met and were married in Aragon, New Mexico. In 1940, they moved to Springerville where they raised their family. She worked as a waitress at Reeds Restaurant and Safire for many years. She was well known for her tamales and love of dancing. Flora touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed.
Flora is survived by 2 sons, Willie T. Castillo and Charley R. Castillo; 7 siblings, 9 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 8 great great grandchildren.
Flora was preceded in death by her husband, Ramon G. Castillo; youngest son, Raymond T. Castillo; and 5 siblings.
Also a granddaughter Kristina Castillo.
A Rosary will be held Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Springerville. A Memorial Mass will be held Thursday, July 6, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. also at St. Peter's Catholic Church, with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow the Memorial Mass at the Springerville Cemetery
