Manuel “Me Me” De La Cruz Sr. passed away on May 27, 2012, he was 79. He was born to Pedro and Jesusa (Garcia) De La Cruz of San Benito Texas on March 25, 1933. He leaves behind to cherish his memories of 53 years his wife, Olivia S. De La Cruz; his children, Richard (Olga) De La Cruz, Maria Gloria (Freddie) Cruz, Manuel (Betty) De La Cruz Jr., Victor (Norma) De La Cruz, Ruben (Andrea) De La Cruz, and Guadalupe (Ray) Lozano Sr., all of Corpus Christi, Texas. He also leaves behind to cherish his memories, twenty grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren. Manuel was a concrete finisher foreman for both the Stanley Construction Company and the Black Company during his 40 years. He was both a great father and ”Pa Pa” and grandfather everyone called him “Pa”. He was always repairing something and he could fix anything he touched.” Me Me” liked to dance, sing and loved to fish. He also loved hearing his Spanish music along with his family. During family get together’s they always sang different songs from back in the day! Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at Funeraria del Angel- Cheyenne with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 31, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with a burial at Rose Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.
