Edna B. Turner (nee Bakanauskas) age 89 of Folcroft passed away on May 3, 2018 at Thomas Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia. Beloved wife of the late Richard Turner; Loving mother of the late Deborah Ann Brown; Dear daughter of the late Vincent and Monika Bakasauskas; Sister of the late Peter Kalvaitis, Joseph Kalvaitis (Florence), John Kalvaitis (Edna), Helen Kalvaitis (Archie), Anne Kalvaitis, Eva B. Cassady (John), Mary McKnight (John), and Vincent Bakanauskas (Agnes). Survived by her grandchildren Dawnmarie E. Brown and Richard W. Brown; great grandson Kaiden Alexander Brown and many nieces and nephews. Edna started working for Bell of PA at the age of eighteen and retired with Verizon in 1991 after 45 years of service. She was an avid reader and enjoyed puzzles . Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Wednesday morning from 9;30 am until 10:30 am at the Cavanagh Family Funeral Home 301 Chester Pike Norwood followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 am in the Church of St. Gabriel Mohawk Ave., Norwood. Internment Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery.
