Eileen Brandl was born November 5, 1925 in Botavia, NY to John and Otilda (Cook) Schnitzler. She moved to Cornlea, Nebraska as a child where she grew up and attended grade school. Eileen attended high school at Humphrey St. Francis. On October 25, 1944, she was united in marriage to Victor H. Brandl at Sacred Heart Church in Cornlea, NE. Eileens lifetime was spent on the farm with her husband. She was a homemaker who was known for her bread baking. Eileen was a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Humphrey where she sponsored many of the poppy girls. In 1985, they moved into Columbus where Eileen was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church and the Christian Mothers.
