Howard was a life-long dairy and crop farmer, farming in conjunction with his brother, Russell.. He was a long-time member of the Bethel Missionary Church in Roseburg and in his spare time, enjoyed traveling with his wife, Fritzie. Howard will be remembered for his quiet, unassuming ways and his quick wit. He was a faithful husband of forty-four years and deeply respected by his family and friends.
Howard is survived by his wife, Frances; two daughters: Wendy (Al) Liebler, and Linda (Wayne) Manns, both of Yale; and a son, William (Janet) Wilson; Port Huron. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren: Donald, Kellee, David, Missy, Bill, Leanne, Suzanne, Tom, Pat, Nicole, Dan, and Mike; three brothers: Russell, Frank, and Bill, all of Yale and five sisters: Pauline Noble, and Helen Brown of Yale; Jean Shell of Detroit, Maribelle Reid of North Street, and Donna Taylor of Melvin; a number of nieces and nephews and numerous friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank (1963) and Hattie Wilson (1966).
Services for Howard are scheduled to take place at the Kaatz Funeral Home in Yale with burial at Kinney Cemetery in Wadhams.
