He was born July 29, 1922 in Roseburg, MI, son of the late Frank and Hattie (Donnenworth) Wilson. Frank married Winnifred Speir on August 14, 1948 in Deckerville. She preceded him in death October 28, 2004.
Frank attended Red School in Roseburg, and graduated from Yale High School in 1940. He retired from Mueller Brass in Port Huron, working there for 35 years. Frank also farmed in Fremont Twp.
Frank is survived by 2 children, Janet Hartwick of Cass City, and Allen (Deborah) Wilson of Lexington; grandchildren, Christopher (Amy) Wilson of Croswell, Laura (David Grant) Wilson of St. Clair Shores, Jennifer (Kenneth) Corbat of McKinney, TX, Edward (Nikki) Hartwick of Okemos, and Andrew (Emily) Hartwick of Shelbyville; great grandchildren, Matthew and Nathan Wilson, Melanie, Julia, and James Corbat, Marilyn and Audrey Hartwick, and Andrew Breier; sister-in-laws, Frances and Elouise “Pud” Wilson, both of Port Huron, Betty Baer of Snover, Maxine (Robert) LaJoie of Caro, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Russell (Bernetia) Wilson, Pauline (Bruce) Noble, Howard Wilson, Jean (James) Shell, Maribelle (William) Reid, Helen (Keith) Brown, Donna (Robert) Taylor, and William Wilson.
Funeral Services will be held 10:30 AM Thursday, August 10 in the Pomeroy Funeral Home, Lexington. Burial will be in the Croswell Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6-9 PM Wednesday and 9:30-10:30 AM Thursday.
