Sandra M. "Sandy" Rossi was called to return to her heavenly Father on Sunday, Feb. 25, 2018.

She was born in Marion Heights on Oct. 31, 1945.

Sandy attended St. Mary's Roman Catholic School in Marion Heights. She attended and graduated from Kulpmont High School in 1964.

She met and married Fred A. Rossi in 1969. Sandy shared with her children, "She never knew what love was until she met Fred."

She worked well with her hands, and her claim to fame included cooking and painting. Anyone who visited her home benefited from her Polish and Italian specialties.

During her employment history, Sandy most enjoyed to paint homes. She shared this joy with her husband and children.

Sandy coached both basketball and softball and actually was the very first person to bring girl's softball to Kulpmont. She also coached basketball for St. Mary's Assumption BVM. Her children inherited her passion for coaching and motivating others.

Sandy and her late husband also loved to fish, and many positive family gatherings occurred at Uncle Bob and Aunt Mary's camp.

Sandy and her late husband Fred are most fondly remembered as being the first couple on the dance floor and the last to leave at any social gathering.

Sandy was a loyal Pennsylvania sports fan always rooting for the Phillies, Eagles, and Penn State University.

She was a member of the original St. Mary's B.V.M. church, which is currently Holy Angels in Kulpmont. During the 1970s she served as a volunteer P.E. Teacher there.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred A. Rossi on Sept. 19, 1997, her parents Stanley and Veronica (Scepanski) Blazejowski and a brother, Stanley Blake.
