William was the son of Clifford M Davis and Lena L Overturf. He married Rena Eloise Rice, daughter of Edward Franklin Rice and Winnie Maude Pinkham, in 1941. Their daughter, Judith Kay, was born on September 21, 1942. About seven months later, on April 6, 1943, Eloise died. William then married Evelyn Louise Armstrong, daughter of William Jasper Armstrong and Stella F Wilson. Together, they had a son, Keith.
