Dorothy Loughran Bennett, resident of San Mateo, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2012. Born January 31, 1913 to Daniel and Alice (Flowers) Loughran of 27th. and Lincoln, Ogden, Utah. She graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in 1930. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Parish of Ogden, Utah. Longtime resident of San Mateo, she was a parishioner of St. Matthew's and St. Bartholomew's Catholic Church and a lifetime member of Catholic Daughters of America. Dorothy traveled to over 36 countries with her beloved husband Albert. She was preceded in death by her husband and 5 sisters and one brother. She is survived by her son, Dennis Bennett, of Menlo Park, Calif. and daughter Lynne L. Davidson of Virginia Beach, VA. She leaves behind 6 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 20, 2012 at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, 300 Alameda de las Pulgas in San Mateo.
