GLADE SPRING, Va. Robert H. "Bob" Barker, age 79, passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2017, at Abingdon Health and Rehab Center in Abingdon, Va. He was preceded in death by his parents, Coy and Ruby Mae Barker; sister and brother-in-law, Betty Mae and Reece White; and grandson, Bradley K. Barr. Bob is survived by his wife of 58 years, Gracie Anne Taylor Barker; daughter, Sandra Cooper and husband, William; brothers, Coy R. Barker Jr. and wife, Lacie, Gerald W. Barker, and David C. Barker and wife, Mickie; sisters, Shirley Ferguson and husband, George, Margaret Ferguson and Mary Sue Laudermilk; grandsons, CW2 Christopher Bruce Barr and Justin Barr and wife, Brandi; great- grandchildren, Kendra, Gavin, Dominic, Landon, Montana, Triniti, Braydon, Ryleigh, Taelyn and Parker; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, October 16, 2017, at Henderson Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim Norris and the Rev. William McCollian officiating. Burial will follow in the Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday evening, October 15, 2017, at the funeral home.
