Jewel Faye Shepherd, age 89, of Youngsville, Louisiana passed away August 29, 2017.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 6, 2017, at Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City with Roger Deerinwater of Archer City officiating. Interment will follow in Restland Cemetery in Olney under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.

Jewel was born November 27, 1927 in Olney, Texas to the late Harris and Mattie Vaught Hughes.

She married Herb Shepherd on July 20, 1974 who preceded her in death.

Survivors include son, Eddie Marney and wife, Donna of Archer City; daughter, Patsy Nachol and husband, William of Youngsville, Louisiana; ten grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Georgia Steinberger; son-in-law, David Steinberger; grandson, Sammy Steinberger; four brothers; and one sister.
