He was an Italian philologist, Latinist and politician. He wrote poetry in Italian and Latin, edited editions of Persia, Dante, John of Virgil; He translated Virgin's own omnipotent work, among which the Georgians emerged in endecasillabies; He wrote some essays, but rarely dealt with the themes of great literature. He was a member of the Patriarch Deputies for Romagna, corresponding correspondent of the Academy of Sciences, Letters and Arts of Padua and of the Virgilian Academy of Mantua. He joined the fascist party in 1925 and had a brilliant political career. He was a city councilor and from 1924 Senator of the Kingdom.
