2017 Apr 27 - Bradenton - Jack F Arnie was born Monday 08 Nov 1937 in Hastings, Michigan to Clarence J & Virginia Katherine Arnie. He married Darlene Murphy Saturday 08 Aug 1964 in Marquette. He graduated from Woodland High School in 1956, and from Northern Michigan University in 1963. He also served in the US Army. He taught at Cadillac High School for 30 years and served as a teacher leader in curriculum development. He was an important influence on the lives of many of his students. He also served as a staff advisor for both the journalism and photography clubs. He volunteered for Project Christmas and the Cadillac Blood Bank. He was a member of the Cadillac Elks and the Junior Chamber of Commerce. He was an Eagle Scout and played football in high school. He also served as commodore for the Cadillac Yacht Club. He enjoyed fishing, sailing, kayaking and boating.

Jack F Arnie, of Cadillac, died Thursday 27 Apr 2017 at the age of 79 y 5 m 19 d at Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, Florida. Survivors included his significant other, Gail Downey, and her 2 children, Amy Mugan and Bob Mugan; 1 brother, Gordon & Ruby Arnie; 2 nephews, Norman & Amy Arnie, and Gordon & Rosa Arnie; 1 niece, Kelly & Doug Sanders; and 1 special fur baby, Briley. He was preceded in death by his wife, Darlene; and his parents, Clarence 04 Mar 04 1976 & Virginia 26 Mar 1979.

Memorial services were 11 am Saturday 17 Jun 2017 at Zion Lutheran Church at 350 Pearl St in Cadillac.

Memorial contributions were to be directed to Zion Lutheran Church or Project Christmas.
