Kenneth G. Overturf, 94, a resident of the Iowa Veterans Home, in Marshalltown, IA passed away Monday May 22, 2017.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, May 25, 2017, at the Iowa Veterans Home Chapel, in Marshalltown. Interment will be at Chapel Hill Gardens, in Des Moines, IA.
Kenneth was born September 21, 1922 in Elberon, Iowa and later moved to Tama where he received his formal education. Ken joined the U.S. Navy in 1942 and after World War II moved to Des Moines, Iowa where he was a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service.
Ken is survived by nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Marge ,and three sisters.
