Major League Baseball Player. For five seasons (1953, 1956 to 1957, and 1959 to 1960), he played in the outfield with the St. Louis Browns, Kansas City Athletics, Milwaukee Braves, and New York Yankees. Born James Peter Pisoni, he was signed as an amateur free agent by the St. Louis Browns in 1949. Following service with the United States Army during the Korean War, he made his Major League debut on September 25, 1953 and appeared in 3 games that season. In 1957 while with the Kansas City Athletics, he produced a career-high 23 hits in 44 games played. In 1960, he played in 20 games with the New York Yankees' team which won the American League Pennant that season. In 103 career regular-season games, he compiled 40 hits with a .212 lifetime batting average. After retiring from baseball, he worked as an electrical contractor.
