Marietta Marshall Stone was born December 15, 1925 in Oklahoma City, Okla., the daughter of Luther and Agnes (Gorgas) Marshall. She passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 in Edmond, Okla., at the age of 89.

She is survived by her husband of 69 years, John C. Stone of Edmond. She is also survived by her son, Clint Stone and wife Anne; daughter Kay Mades and husband Mark; and daughter Marilyn Lipscomb and husband Dan; plus six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Her brother, Luther Gerald Marshall of Cortlandt Manor, NY, also survives Marietta.

Marietta was a graduate of Classen H.S. and attended Central State College. She left us with fond memories of her cookie and candy making, traveling adventures, church and P.E.O. activities and playing cards and games with family and friends. Her faith and family made her life complete.

A celebration of Marietta’s life was 10 a.m. Monday, November 30, at First Christian Church, Edmond.
