Warren O'Neal Watkins died Saturday,
January 13, at his home in Marlow.
He was 60.
A graveside service was held at
10 A.M.Tuesday, Jan. 16, at the Marlow
Cemetery with the Hospice Chaplain,
the Rev. Don Keesee of Chickasha,
officiating. Burial was under the
direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb
Funeral Home.
Watkins was born July 23, 1935 in
Ardmore to Sam and Sarah Jane
(Johnson) Watkins. He had lived four
years in Marlow, and previous to that,
he had lived in California. He was a
retired self-employed painter.
Watkins was married to Rosemary
Wolfe on Nov. 10, 1960, in Mexico.
Survivors include his wife of the home;
four sons and two daughters-in-law,
Ricky and Vera Watkins of Gridley,
Calif., Warren and Dawn Watkins of
Marlow, James Watkins of Granite ,
and Danny Watkins of Ardmore; three
daughters and a son-in-law, Colette
Lane of Burney, Calif., Melody Cordell
of Marlow, and Sarah and Daryl Berel
of Fullerton, N.M.;20 gradchildren;
three great-grandchildren; four
brothers and two sister-in-law, Haskell
Watkins of Poterville, Calif., Hance and
Zell Watkins of Banning, California.,
Wesley and Ora Mae Watkins of
Ardmore, John Watkins of Idabel; and a
sister and brother-in-law, Alice and
Raymond Gentry of Lebanon.
