Sally Johnson, born on August 31, 1905, was the youngest of the five children of John Hilmer and John Anna Johnson and was born in Brownwood, Texas.
She married Sherrill N. McNett, of Bangs, Texas on October 16, 1926. Sherrill was born on March 6, 1905, and was one of eleven brothers and sisters and the son of a Baptist Minister. Sally and Sherrill McNett adopted a daughter, Shirley, and reared her as their own daughter.
Sherrill died of congestive heart failure on November 24, 1958 and is buried at Seaside Memorial Cemetery in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Sally later was married to Henry Jamar. Sally Johnson McNett Jamar died on July 3, 1985 and is buried in the Greenleaf Cemetery in Brownwood.
