Mrs. Mildred M. Jamison, age 97, passed away Friday evening August 26, 2016 at Quitman County Health & Rehab in Marks, MS. An 11:00 a.m. Graveside celebration of life will be held on Monday August 29, 2016 at Marks Cemetery with Rev. Will Overstreet officiating. Interment to follow in Marks Cemetery.
Mrs. Jamison was a retired sales clerk at The Gift Shop located inside the former Stone's Drug Store in Marks. She was the oldest member of Marks First Baptist church and a member of The Marks Garden Club earlier in her life.
Left to cherish her memory are two daughters Cornelia(Charles) Henry of Oxford, MS.,
Linda(Eddie) Loper of Laurel, MS.,
one son John B.(Sandra) Jamison of Marks, MS.,
a special friend Zane (Kathy Jo) Alford of Tocowa, MS.
Nine grandchildren
and Thirteen Great grandchildren also survive Mrs. Jamison.
She was preceded in death by her
husband John C. Jamison,
her parents William & Myrtle Moore,
one son Charles William "Bill" Jamison,
four sisters
and one brother.
